EPB Switch Inspection
- With the ignition switch and the EPB switch on, follow the steps below:
- Using the GDS VMI oscilloscope, check if the voltage input to SW1, SW2, SW3, and SW4 signal line terminals is normal.
- Measure the voltage between the signal lines (SW1, SW2, SW3, and SW4) and the car body ground while operating the EPB switch.

- Is parameter displayed within specification?
YES
- Fault might be intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECU's connector or was repaired and ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, replace EPB Switch and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
