Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF", connect KDS/GDS.
  2. Ignition "ON", select "Current Data" mode.
  3. Monitor the "Passenger Buckle Switch status" parameter on the KDS/GDS.

    Specification:  Passenger Buckle Switch on - Buckled, Passenger Buckle Switch off - Unbuckled

  4. Is parameter displayed within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the part's and/or SRSCM connector or was repaired and SRSCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

    NO 

    • Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • If problem still occurs, replace Buckle Switch Passenger and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
