Squib Circuit Inspection: Notes

NOTE:

If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a known-good driver knee airbag or 2Ω resistor.

Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect the auxiliary battery (-) cable and wait for one minute.
Disconnect driver knee airbag module and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to main harness connector.
Connect (-) terminal cable to battery and Ignition "ON" and wait for 30s or more.
Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC) and clear DTC with KDS/GDS and diagnose again.
Are any DTCs stored in the system?

Good	Go to "Main Harness Circuit Inspection " procedure.
No Good	Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps. If problem still occurs, replace curtain airbag -driver module and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.

Good	Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps. If problem still occurs, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
No Good	Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps. If problem still occurs, replace SRSCM main harness and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
