Monitor KDS/GDS Data

Inspection Condition Inspection Procedure Reference
  1. Steering Angle Sensor Calibration.
  2. Ignition "ON", Engine "OFF".
  3. Align front wheels straight.
  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Perform "SAS Calibration (CAN-ESP Only)" in "Vehicle S/W management" with KDS/GDS.

Inspection Condition Inspection Procedure Reference
  1. Shift Lever Position "P" & Ignition "ON"/"READY". ("READY" Lamp ON in Instrument Cluster)
  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Monitor "Steering Angle Sensor" parameter in "Current Data" with KDS/GDS.
  3. Turn the steering wheel to the left or right.

Good 
  • Fault might be caused by incorrect calibration or SAS has been repaired/replaced and calibration has not been performed. Go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
  • Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
