DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage Monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Open or short of brake pedal travel sensor circuit
  • Brake pedal travel sensor faulty
  • IBAU (pedal simulator)
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
Case 1 Threshold Value
  • A failure is detected if PDT is not matched with PDF more than 10mm or 30% for 3s

    * Brake pedal travel sensor normal specification

    PDT: 0.2V to 4.8V

    PDF: 0.1V to 2.4V

Warning Lamp
  • Brake (EBD), ESC, AVH warning indicator lamp "ON"
Case 2 Threshold Value
  • In case that the pedal signal is less than 5mm and has no change (Δpedal<5mm) under no-control for 200ms and,
    • all conditions below are satisfied for more than 500ms during standstill
    • more than 3 conditions are satisfied for more that 1500ms while driving
    • more than 2 conditions are satisfied for more that 2500ms while driving
    1. PSP pressure is more than 15bar and changes more than 10bar
    2. BCP1 pressure is more than 15bar and changes more than 10bar
    3. BCP2 pressure is more than 15bar and changes more than 10bar
    4. BLS signal is "ON" for more than 50ms
  • Pedal signal is maintained more than 20mm for 300s while driving
  • more than 3 conditions below are satisfied:
    1. Pedal signal is more than 20mm for 3s while acceleration pedal is on
    2. The minimum pedal stroke is more than 20mm during 10km/h (6.2MPH) vehicle speed increase
    3. Pedal stroke is more than 20mm for 3s while BLS signal is off
    4. Pedal stroke is more than 20mm for 3s while PSP pressure is less than 0.5bar and has no change
  • Pedal is changed over 15mm more than 50 times for 3s

    * Brake pedal travel sensor normal specification

    PDT: 0.2V to 4.8V

    PDF: 0.1V to 2.4V

Warning Lamp
  • Brake (EBD) warning indicator lamp "ON"
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF"/"ON" and Brake Pressed and Released for more than 3s
