Case 1 |
- In case of large air gap between tone wheel and wheel speed sensor, there is no pulse signal input and ABS/ESC/ESP recognizes wheel speed as 0km/h (0MPH)A failure is detected by comparison of the 4 wheels speed in following conditions
- A failure is detected in case that the slowest wheel speed is below 0.25km/h (0.1MPH) and all other wheel speeds exceed 10km/h (6.2MPH) with the vehicle acceleration under 0.4G (14km/h per 1s) and this condition continues 160ms
- A failure is detected in case that two or more wheels speed is below 2km/h (1.2MPH) and the speed of other wheel(s) exceed 10km/h (6.2MPH) with the vehicle acceleration under 0.4G (14km/h per 1s) and this condition continues 20s
- If the vehicle acceleration is above 0.4G (14km/h per 1s) in 1), 2), the failure detection time 180s
- A failure is detected in case that one or two wheel speed is below 0.25km/h (0.1MPH) longer than 12s after all wheels exceed 10km/h (6.2MPH). However, If All Non-dive wheel are less than 0.25km/h (0.1MPH), fault detection time is 120s

- A failure is detected if the wheel speed is below 2km/h (1.2MPH) longer than 12s during ABS control
- A failure is detected if the ABS control duration exceeds 36s. In this case, ABS/ESC/ESP recognizes all wheels are defective
- A failure is detected if the wheel speed is above 512km/h (318MPH) longer than 100ms
