Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Information
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the cowl top cover.

- Remove the main crash pad assembly.
(Refer to "MAIN CRASH PAD ASSEMBLY ")
- Disconnect the steering column connectors.
(Refer to "STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ")
- Lower the steering column after loosening the mounting bolts.
(Refer to "STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ")
- Disconnect the photo sensor wiring fastener.
- Loosen the bolt and then separate the rear air duct (A).
LH]
RH
- Loosen the nuts and then separate the rear air duct (A).
- Disconnect the airbag control module (SRSCM) connector (A) and shift lever wiring connector (B).
- Disconnect the connector (A) and the mounting clips in the front pillar.
Driver's
Passenger's
- Disconnect the LDC unit connector (A) and BCM unit connector (B).
- Disconnect the AVM unit connector (A) and loosen the bolt (B).
- Disconnect the passenger compartment junction box connectors (A).
- Disconnect the BCM unit connectors (A).
- Disconnect the multi box connectors (A).
Driver's
Passenger's
- Remove the air duct (A) and disconnect the smart key unit connector (B), and evaporator core sensor (C).
- Disconnect the heater and blower unit connector.
Driver's
- Disconnect the mode actuator (A) and temperature actuator (B).
Passenger's
- Disconnect the temperature actuator (A), cluster ionizer (B) and resistor connector (C).
- Disconnect the intake actuator connector (A).
- Disconnect the blower motor connector (A).
- After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the cowl cross bar assembly (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
