Monitor KDS/GDS Data

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON".
  3. Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)"  with KDS/GDS.

  4. Is DTC status displayed as Present?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the EPB ECU's connector or was repaired and EPB ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.


  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Engine "ON"
  3. Turn on EPB Switch.
  4. Monitor parameter on "Current Data" with KDS/GDS.

    Specification  : Refer to Fig 1 Below

  5. Is parameter displayed within specification?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the EPB ECU's connector or was repaired and EPB ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NO
