Control Circuit Inspection

■ Check short to ground in harness 

1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect RH EPB actuator connector.
3. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 2 (Motor +) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and chassis ground.
4. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 1 (Motor -) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification  : Infinite Ω

■ Check short to battery in harness 

1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect RH EPB actuator and HECU connector.
3. Measure the voltage between Pin No. 2 (Motor +) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and chassis ground.
4. Measure the voltage between Pin No. 1 (Motor -) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification  : 0 V

■ Check for open in harness 

1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect RH EPB actuator and HECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 2 (Motor +) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and Pin No. 2 (RH Motor +) terminal of HECU harness connector.
4. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 1 (Motor -) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and Pin No. 3 (RH Motor -) terminal of HECU harness connector.

   Specification  : Approx. 1Ω

5. Is measured within specification?

   YES 

   • Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.

   NO 

   • Repair open or short in control circuit of EPB Actuator harness connector and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
