CAN Communication Line Inspection
- Ignition switch "OFF"
- Disconnect battery (-) cable.
- Refer to HECU REPAIR PROCEDURES and DCT CONTROL MODULE (TCM) (1.6L) , TRANSAXLE CONTROL MODULE (TCM) (2.0L) or TRANSAXLE CONTROL MODULE (TCM) and disconnect HECU and TCM/PCM connector.
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 44 (C-CAN High) terminal of HECU harness connector and Pin No. 44 (C-CAN High) terminal of TCM harness connector. (1.6 T-GDI)
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 45 (C-CAN Low) terminal of HECU harness connector and Pin No. 45 (C-CAN Low) terminal of TCM harness connector. (1.6 T-GDI)
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 44 (C-CAN High) terminal of HECU harness connector and Pin No. 77 (C-CAN High) terminal of PCM harness connector. (2.4 GDI, 2.0 T-GDI)
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 45 (C-CAN Low) terminal of HECU harness connector and Pin No. 60 (C-CAN Low) terminal of PCM harness connector. (2.4 GDI, 2.0 T-GDI)
Specification : Approx. below 1 Ω
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.
NO
- Repair open in C-CAN circuit and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
