DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Faulty signal circuit of rear-RH wheel speed sensor
  3. Faulty wheel speed sensor rear-RH
Enable Condition
  • Ignition switch "ON" & Engine "ON"
  • Continuous monitoring at vehicle speed over 40 km/h (Approx. 25 mph)
  • No related DTC is stored
Threshold Value
  • 2.75 km/h (Approx. 1.7 mph) signal of rear-RH wheel speed sensor is detected while driving vehicle with over 40 km/h (Approx. 25 mph)
  • Abnormal wheel speed change is detected
Detecting Time
  • 300ms
Warning Lamp
  • In case of failure on one wheel
    • ABS/ESC (ESP) Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
  • In case of failure on more than two wheels
    • EBD/ABS/ESC (ESP) Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON" and vehicle speed over 12 km/h (Approx. 7 mph)
Failsafe
  • Wheel speed sensor failure is detected while ABS/ESC (ESP) is not in control: Control function prohibited
