DTC B1678-00: Scrap Recorded (Replace SRSCM): General Description
The airbag system control module (SRSCM: Supplemental Restraint System Control Module) records its airbag state on it after expanding airbags forcely by using scrap tool.
This DTC is related to airbag-expanding at scrapping a car. At this time, the record which airbags have been expanded by using a scrap tool is stored on Supplemental Restraints System Control Module (SRSCM). But since the scrap tool is not developed yet, this function is not available.
NOTE:
If you strike or spin the Supplemental Restraints System Control Module (SRSCM) at the Ignition "ON" state, the seat-belt pretensioner, Anchor Pretensioner, curtain-airbag or side-airbag could be unfolded and bring on danger. Handle it with care.
