DTC B1602: CAN Error: General Description

Wireless Power Charger (WPC) uses a magnetic induction method. Induction chargers typically use an induction coil to create an alternating electromagnetic field from within a charging base station, and a second induction coil in the portable device takes power from the electromagnetic field and converts it back into electric current to charge the battery.

The main features of CAN (Controller Area Network) bus system are:

• A data-Transfer rate up to 1 Mbit/s for the High-Speed CAN and up to 125 kbit/s for the Low-Speed CAN.
• Signals are broadcast in both directions
• The Multi-master principle.
• High availability by locating failed control units.
• Standardization in accordance with ISO 11898.

The BCM communicates via B-CAN Communication Line with SJB (Smart Junction Box), Cluster, and SMK (Smart Key) Unit.
