CAN Communication Line Inspection: Notes

Ignition "OFF".
Remove necessary parts to get access to HUD.
Ignition "ON".
Back probe and measure signal waveform of Pin No. 2 (High) terminal of HUD Module connector and chassis ground.
Back probe and measure signal waveform of Pin No. 3 (Low) terminal of HUD Module connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Refer to Fig 1 below

Is the measured signal waveform normal?
YES
- Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in C-CAN communication line and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
- If problem keep occurs, go to "INSPECTION PROCEDURE FOR RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT " procedure.
