CAN Resistor Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Disconnect battery (-) cable.
  3. Disconnect Instrument cluster and IGPM connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 5 (C-CAN High) and Pin No. 4 (C-CAN Low) terminal of IGPM.
  5. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 32 (C-CAN High) and Pin No. 33 (C-CAN Low) terminal of Cluster.

    Specification  : Approx. ∞ (Infinite)Ω

  6. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Go to "CAN Signal Inspection" procedure.

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem keep occurs, replace the IGPM or Cluster and then go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
