Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Information 

  1. Remove the cowl top cover.

    (Refer to REMOVE COWL TOP COVER

  2. Remove the main crash pad assembly.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "MAIN CRASH PAD ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Disconnect the steering column connectors.

    (Refer to Steering System - "STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ")

  4. Lower the steering column after loosening the mounting bolts.

    (Refer to Steering System - "STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ")

  5. Disconnect the photo sensor wiring fastener.
  6. Loosen the bolt and then separate the rear air duct (A).

  7. Loosen the nuts and then separate the rear air duct (A).

  9. Disconnect the airbag control module (SRSCM) connector (A) and shift lever wiring connector (B).

  10. Disconnect the connector (A) and the mounting clips in the front pillar.

    [Passenger's] 

  11. Disconnect the LDC unit connector (A) and BCM unit connector (B).

  13. Disconnect the AVM unit connector (A) and loosen the bolt (B).

  14. Disconnect the passenger compartment junction box connectors (A).

  15. Disconnect the BCM unit connectors (A).

  16. Disconnect the multi box connectors (A).

  17. Remove the air duct (A) and disconnect the smart key unit connector (B), and evaporator core sensor (C).

  18. Disconnect the heater and blower unit connector.

    [Driver's] 

    1. Disconnect the mode actuator (A) and temperature actuator (B).

    [Passenger's] 

    1. Disconnect the temperature actuator (A), cluster ionizer (B) and resistor connector (C).

    3. Disconnect the intake actuator connector (A).

    4. Disconnect the blower motor connector (A).

  19. After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the cowl cross bar assembly (A).

  20. Install in the reverse order of removal.
