Charging System Inspection

Engine "ON", Head Lamp & rear defogger "ON".
Measure voltage between the battery terminal (+) and (-) maintaining ENG. RPM 2, 500RPM (idle) over 2 minutes.
Specification: Approx. 14.5V

Is the measured voltage within specifications?
YES
- Go to "POWER CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, Replace the alternator and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
