DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Thermostat open stuck monitor, ECT not reaching warm state
  1. Poor connection
  2. Thermostat
Enable Conditions
  • IAT temp is between -7.0°C (19.4°F) and 57°C (134.6°F)
  • ECT at start is between -7.0°C (19.4°F) and 63°C (145.4°F)
  • Difference between IAT at start and IAT is higher then 5°C (41°F)
  • Vehicle speed is less than 25 mph
  • When model ECT is higher than 82°C (179.6°F)
Threshold Value
  • Actual ECT is lower then 76°C (168°F)
Diagnosis Time
  • 3-15min
Mil On Condition
  • 3 driving cycles
