CAN Communication Line Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Disconnect ECM and A/C control module.
  3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 85 (CAN-High) terminal of ECM and Pin No. 17 (CAN-High) terminal of A/C control module. (Manual A/C)
  4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 63 (CAN-Low) terminal of ECM and Pin No. 18 (CAN-Low) terminal of A/C control module. (Manual A/C)
  5. Measure resistance between Pin No. 85 (CAN-High) terminal of ECM and Pin No. 32 (CAN-High) terminal of A/C control module. (Auto A/C)
  6. Measure resistance between Pin No. 63 (CAN-Low) terminal of ECM and Pin No. 33 (CAN-Low) terminal of A/C control module. (Auto A/C)

    Specification:  Approx. 1 Ω

  7. Is the measured Value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
