Control Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Disconnect EWGA & ECM connector.
  3. Measure voltage between Pin No. 1 (Motor +) terminal of EWGA harness connector and chassis ground.
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 3 (Motor -) terminal of EWGA harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 0V

  5. Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Motor +) terminal of EWGA harness connector and chassis ground.
  6. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Motor -) terminal of EWGA harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  ∞Ω

  7. Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Motor +) terminal of EWGA harness connector and Pin No. 4 (Motor +) terminal of ECM harness connector.
  8. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Motor -) terminal of EWGA harness connector and Pin No. 19 (Motor +) terminal of ECM harness connector.

    Specification:  Approx. 0Ω

  9. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
