DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • Target error check (Exhaust)
  1. Poor connection
  2. Contamination of Oil/Clog of Oil path
  3. OCV (Exhaust)
  4. CVVT
Enable Conditions
  • Time after engine start is greater than 3s
  • ECT is greater than -5°C (23°F)
  • Reference position adaption is completed
  • No CMP sensor error
  • No CKP sensor error
Threshold Value
  • Counter of failed following is greater than 10 times
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • Slow response check (Exhaust)
Enable Conditions
  • Time after engine start is greater than 3s
  • ECT is greater than -5°C (23°F)
  • Reference position adaption is completed
  • No CMP sensor error
  • No CKP sensor error
Threshold Value
  • Counter of delayed following is greater than 10 times
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediate
MIL ON Condition
  • 3 driving cycles
