DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Plausibility check
  1. Waste gate valve position fault
  2. Check EWGA position sensor and motor
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage is greater than 10V and less than 16V
  • Engine coolant temp. is greater than 50°C (122°F)
  • Ambient Air temp. is greater than -10°C (14°F)
  • Engine running
Threshold Value
  • Duty cycle output (the wastegate actuator controller) is greater than 70%
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.4s
MIL ON Condition
  • 3 driving cycles
