Repair Procedures: Replacement: Removal

NOTE:

Remove the following items.
- Front pillar trim
  (Refer to "Interior Trim ".)
- ECM mirror
  (Refer to "Mirror ".)
- Rain sensor
  (Refer to "Rain Sensor ".)
- Windshield wiper arm
  (Refer to "Cowl Top Cover ".)
- Cowl top cover
  (Refer to "Cowl Top Cover ".)
- Windshield glass deicer connector
  (Refer to "Windshield Deicer System - Optima HEV ".)
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the windshield side moulding (A).

Cut out the windshield sealant using the sealant cutting tool (09861-31100).

NOTE:
- Do not scrape down to the painted surface of the body; damaged paint will interfere with proper bonding.
- Remove the rubber dam and fasteners from the body.
- Mask off surrounding surfaces before painting.
Remove the windshield glass (B) carefully using the glass holder (A).
