Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • MAX-Error of diagnosis of engine efficiency for catalyst heating during idle
  1. Intake air restriction
  2. Exhaust restriction
  3. Engine mechanical concern
  4. Damaged or sludged throttle body
  5. Vacuum leaks
  6. Damaged PCM
Enable Conditions
  • After catalyst heating is active greater than 3s
  • BARO greater than 74.5kPa (0.745bar/10.8psi)
  • Engine load less than 55%
  • Vehicle Speed 0km (0mph)
Threshold value
  • Average of spark efficiency deviation during 10sec (Difference of Actual efficiency and Target efficiency) greater than Threshold (ECT at Start) Ref.)

Eng. Temp. at start -9.8°C (14.36°F) = Efficiency 0.5%
Eng. Temp. at start 9.8°C (49.64°F) = Efficiency 0.5%
Eng. Temp. at start 15°C (59°F) = Efficiency 0.5%
Eng. Temp. at start 40°C (104°F) = Efficiency 0.5%
