DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 DTC Strategy
  • Engine speed is below the target while ISC torque is at the maximum during catalyst heating phase
  1. Intake air restriction
  2. Exhaust restriction
  3. Engine mechanical concern
  4. Damaged or sludged throttle body
  5. Vacuum leaks
  6. Damaged PCM
Threshold Value
  • Difference of Desired engine speed and Engine speed greater than 100RPM
Case 2 DTC Strategy
  • Engine speed is above the target while ISC torque is at the minimum during catalyst heating phase
Threshold Value
  • Difference of Desired engine speed and Engine speed less than -200RPM
Case 3 DTC Strategy
  • Fuel cut-off during stand-still, idle condition and catalyst heating phase
Threshold Value
  • Fuel cut-off equal to or greater than 3times
Enable Condition
  • Vehicle speed 0mph
  • ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) at start greater than -10.5°C (13.1° F)
  • IAT (Intake Air Temperature) greater than -10.5°C (13.1°F)
  • Accel. pedal 0%
  • BARO greater than 74.5kPa (10.8psi/0.745bar)
  • Catalyst heating Active

  • 8s

  • 3 driving cycles
