DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) with Canister Control Valve (CCV) and Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) closed after the P0455 monitor
  1. Leakage in each hose/fuel filler pipe
  2. Leakage in CCV/Canister/Fuel tank/Fuel Filler Cap
Enable Conditions
  • Canister Control Valve (CCV) Close
  • Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) Close
  • Common conditions for evap. system monitoring
  • Time after engine start greater than 130s
  • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) at start greater than 4°C (39.2°F) and less than 50°C (122°F)
  • Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) greater than 0°C (32°F) and less than 42°C (107.6°F)
  • BARO greater than 74.5kPa (0.745bar/10.8psi)
  • Fuel level greater than 15% and less than 85%
  • Purge active time greater than 10s
  • Closed loop fuel control On
  • Accel. pedal = 0%
  • Vehicle speed = 0km (0mph)
  • No disabling faults present
  • Refueling condition Not detected (Fuel Tank Pressure over 3hPa and Filtered FTP over 0.5hPa)
  • Intake manifold pressure/BARO greater than 0.6
Threshold value
  • Tank pressure gradient greater than 44-60 Pa/s
Diagnosis Time
  • 15s
MIL On Condition
  • 3 driving cycles
