Component Inspection

■ Visual check 

1. Check discoloration by over-heating.
2. Check deflection or crack (hole).
3. Check noise.

■ Check Catalyst converter performance 

1. Connect KDS/GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
3. Check the "Current Data" about related DTC with KDS/GDS.

   A: To compare the performance of the catalyst oxygen sensor 1 and 2 can be determined.

   ■ Confirm Part Inspection 

   1. Does the Catalyst converter operate properly? (Check variation)

      YES 

      • Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

      NO 

      • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
      • If problem still occurs, replace Catalyst Converter and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
