Ground Circuit Inspection

- Ignition "OFF" & Disconnect CMPS connector.
- Ignition "ON"
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (signal) terminal of CMPS harness connector and chassis ground. (A)
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (Signal) terminal and Pin No. 3 (Ground) terminal of the CMPS. (B)
Specification: "A" - "B" = Below 200mV (A, B: Approx. 4.8V)
- Is the measured voltage within specification?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
