Signal Circuit Inspection

- Ignition "OFF" & Disconnect Knock sensor connector.
- Ignition "ON"
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 1 (Ground) terminal of Knock sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (Signal) terminal of Knock sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification:
Knock (Ground) - Approx 0V
Knock (Signal) - Approx 1.6V
- Is the measured voltage within specification?
YES
- Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
NO
- Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
