DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Rationality Check, Overboost
  1. Damaged turbocharger (TC) wastegate regulating valve
  2. Damaged wastegate adjusting rod
  3. Wastegate regulating solenoid valve stuck
  4. Wastegate stuck closed
  5. Wastegate control hose open or plugged
  6. Incorrect wastegate adjustment
Enable Conditions
  • RPM is higher than 300RPM
  • No DTC regarding Boost Pressure Sensor
Threshold Value
  • Difference between intake pressure and desired pressure is greater than 200hpa/0.2bar/2.9psi (desired Pressure: 1500hpa/1.5bar/21.75psi)
  • Difference between intake pressure and desired pressure is less than 400hpa/0.4bar/5.8psi (desired Pressure: 2000hpa/2 bar/29.00psi)
