Telltale lamp Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Ignition "ON", Passenger Airbag "ON" and Passenger Airbag OFF Warning Lamp "OFF"
  3. Back probe and Measure voltage between of Pin No. 27 (PAB OFF Warning Lamp) terminal of SRSCM harness connector and chassis ground.
  4. Ignition "ON", Passenger Airbag "OFF" and Passenger Airbag OFF Warning Lamp "ON"
  5. Back probe and Measure voltage between of Pin No. 27 (PAB OFF Warning Lamp) terminal of SRSCM harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification: 

    PAB "OFF" Warning Lamp "ON": 0.31V - 8.7V

    PAB "ON" Warning Lamp "ON": 0.31V - 8.7V

  6. Is the measured voltage within specifications?

    YES 

    • Check telltale lamp and connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Check airbag fuse, passenger compartment junction block, harness between junction block and SRSCM. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
