DTC B1800-00: Side Crash Detection For Door Unlock (Non-SAB): General Description

In collision, Supplemental Restraint System Control Module (SRSCM) sends current to appropriate air bag for deployment.

Besides Supplemental Restraints System Control Module (SRSCM) performs diagnosis of overall air bag system and light warning lamp if there's any fault in it.

Main functions of Supplemental Restraints System Control Module (SRSCM) are as follows.

Collision and Passenger presence Detection.
Determination of BPT and air bag deployment in accordance with given condition.
Internal and external diagnosis of air bag system.
Warning by warning lamp if there's any fault in airbag system.
Submitting data for scan tool diagnosis.

In a case of a vehicle's rollover, It senses the ratio of a vehicle's rotation.

NOTE: If you strike or spin the Supplemental Restraints System Control Module (SRSCM) at the Ignition "ON" state, the seat-belt pretensioner, Anchor Pretensioner, curtain-airbag or side-airbag could be unfolded and bring on danger. Handle it with care.
