Squib Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) cable and wait at least for one minute.
  3. Remove the Side Airbag Front-Driver module and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to Side Airbag Front-Driver harness connector.
    NOTE: If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a known-good Side Airbag Front-Driver or 2Ω resistor.
  4. Connect (-) terminal cable to battery and Ignition "ON" and wait for 30 seconds or more.
  5. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC) and clear DTC with KDS/GDS and diagnose again.
  6. Are any DTCs stored in the system?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace Side Airbag Front-Driver module and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
