Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "ON".
  2. Measure voltage between SW1(SW2, SW3, SW4) signal terminal of EPB Switch harness connector and chassis ground.(GDS VMI - oscilloscope)

    Specification:  See below

    SW1 - Max: Approx. 7.5V, Min: Approx. 0.5V [Duty(-) 75%]

    W3 - Max: Approx. 7.5V, Min: Approx. 0.5V [Duty(-) 75%]

    SW2 - Max: Approx. 9.2V, Min: Approx. 0.5V [Duty(-) 50%]

  3. Is the measured value within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault might be intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECU's connector or was repaired and ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace EPB Switch and then go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.
