Component Inspection

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)  " mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)  " mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good EPB ECU and check for proper operation.

    If the problem is corrected, replace EPB ECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NOTE: In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures.
    1. "SAS Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction.
    2. "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C1285 )
    3. "Variant Coding" for 2WD/4WD type setting (refer to C1702 )

    NO 

    • This fault may be intermittently caused by poor connection in the EPB ECU or HECU connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
