Component Inspection

■ Accelerator pedal sensor check 

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON"
  3. Monitor the "Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor" parameters in the "Current Data" with GDS in Engine system.

    Specification:  APS1: 0V ~ 5V (APS2: 0V~2.5V)

  4. Is parameter displayed changes when shifting gears?

    YES 

    • Substitute with known good AFLS-ECU or ECM/PCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECU and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
      NOTE: * In case of replacing AFLS-ECU, perform following procedures.
      1. "Parameter Download" for initializing AFLS-ECU. (Refer to B1661 )
      2. "Calibration of Sensors" for height sensor calibration. (Refer to B1637 )

    NO 

    • Substitute with known good Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
