Component Inspection
■ Steering Angle Sensor check
- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Engine "ON".
- Verify that MDPS system is initialized and steering angle sensor is calibrated.
- Monitor "Steering Angle Sensor" parameter in the "Current Data" with GDS in MDPS system.
Specification: Parameter changes as steering wheel turns (-537 Deg. ~ +537 Deg.)
- Is parameter displayed changes when turning steering wheel?
YES
- Substitute with known good AFLS-ECU or MDPS ECU and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECU and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.NOTE: * In case of replacing AFLS-ECU, perform following procedures.
- "Parameter Download" for initializing AFLS-ECU. (Refer to B1661 )
- "Calibration of Sensors" for height sensor calibration. (Refer to B1637 )
* In case of replacing MDPS ECU, perform following procedures.- "ASP Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (Refer to C1261 )
NO
