Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Diagnose EPB with GDS for DTC and state information.
  3. Start the engine and place vehicle on the flat ground.
  4. In case of historic DTC: Apply and release the EPB and check for proper operation. Erase DTC if system works properly.
  5. Engine "ON" & Vehicle "STOP".
  6. Monitor "Current (RH) " and "Current (LH) " parameter on the "Current Data  " with GDS while apply and release the EPB several times.

    Specification:  approx. 7A.

  7. Is parameter within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and Control Module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Go to "Visual Inspection" procedure.
