CAN Communication Circuit Inspection (BSD ECU (RH) ↔ IPM)

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect BSD ECU connector and Cluster connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between CAN-HIGH terminal of BSD ECU harness connector and CAN-HIGH terminal of IPM harness connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between CAN-LOW terminal of BSD ECU harness connector and CAN-LOW terminal of IPM harness connector.

    Specification:  below 1Ω

  5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

    YES 

    • Check IPM, BSD ECU (RH) connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
