Control Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF" & Disconnect Electric parking brake actuator (LH) connector.
- Ignition "ON".
- Measure voltage between pin No. 1 (motor+) terminal of electric parking brake actuator (LH) harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: see Illustration below (Max: approx. 7.4V, Min: 0V [duty (-) 33%])
- Is the measured value within specifications?
YES
- Go to Next step procedure.
NO
- Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Disconnect EPB ECU connector.
- Measure resistance between pin No. 2 (motor-) terminal of electric parking brake actuator (LH) harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: ∞ Ω
- Measure resistance between pin No. 2 (motor-) terminal and pin No. 1 (motor+) terminal of Electric parking brake actuator (LH) harness connector.
Specification: ∞ Ω
- Is the measured value within specifications?
YES
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, replace electric parking brake actuator (LH) and then go to "System Inspection" procedure.
NO
- Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
