CAN Resistance Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect auxiliary battery (-) terminal.
- Wait for more than 5 minutes so that the capacitor in the high voltage system can be naturally discharged.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (CAN high) terminal and Pin No. 11 (CAN low) of DLC (Data Link Cable) harness connector.
Specification: Approx. 60Ω
* CAN resistor is installed in PCM and BMS ECU. The resistor resistance value is 120Ω
- Is measured value within specification?
YES
- Fault might be intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECU's connector or was repaired and ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to Next step procedure.
- Disconnect PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 77 (CAN high) terminal and Pin No. 78 (CAN low) of PCM harness connector.

- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, replace PCM and then go to "System Inspection" procedure.
