CAN Communication Line Inspection (Open Circuit)

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect auxiliary battery (-) terminal.
  3. Wait for more than 5 minutes so that the capacitor in the high voltage system can be naturally discharged.
  4. Disconnect IBAU and PCM connector.
  5. Measure resistance between Pin No. 24 (CAN high) of EPB ECU connector and Pin No. 77 (CAN high) of PCM connector.
  6. Measure resistance between Pin No. 20 (CAN low) of EPB ECU connector and Pin No. 78 (CAN low) of PCM connector.

    Specification:  Approx. 1Ω

  7. Is the measured value within specifications?

    YES 

    • Go to Next step procedure.

    NO
