DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN Message Monitoring
  1. Sensor or system error concerned CLU
  2. EPB ECU
Enable condition
  • C1616 (CAN BUS Off) no DTC
  • Normal battery condition
  • 2 sec after ignition "ON"
Threshold value
  • No IBAU message (CAN message) more than 0.5 sec.
    • Cluster message (ODO, R range, Driver side door, hood, trunk, Driver seat belt, IG signal)
Warning Indicator Lamp Status
  • Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Fail Safe
  • Dynamic Braking (ESC) inhibited
  • EPB auto release function inhibited
Reset Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
