DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • HCU message error detected
  1. Sensor or system error concerned HCU
  2. EPB ECU
Enable condition
  • C1616 (CAN BUS Off) no DTC
  • Normal battery voltage
  • Ignition "ON" after 2 sec.
Threshold value
  • No HCU message (CAN message) more than 0.5 sec.
    • HCU massage (engine, motor, HEV vehicle information)
Warning Indicator Lamp Status
  • Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
Fail Safe
  • Dynamic Braking (ESC) inhibited
Clear Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
