Repair procedures: Replacement: Notes

Front Bumper Cover Replacement 

CAUTION:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces to protect from marring the surface.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the cover and other parts.
  1. After loosening the mounting bolts, then remove the engine air duct (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

  2. Remove the mounting clips and then remove the radiator grill upper cover (A).

  3. Loosen the bolts (A) mounted on upper side of the front bumper.

  4. Loosen the mounting clips (A) and screw (B) of the front bumper side by using a clip remover.
    NOTE:

    Replace any damaged clips.

  5. Remove the clips (A) mounted on lower of the front bumper.

  6. Remove the front bumper side (A) by pulling it carefully in the direction of arrow.
    NOTE:
    • Remove the front bumper by pulling up the side of the front bumper and then pull it out.
    CAUTION:

    When you pull out the front bumper, the side part of the front bumper could be damaged by the projection.

  7. Lift up the lower side of the front bumper cover (A).

  8. Disconnect the fog lamp connector (A) and front sensor connector (B).

  9. Lift up the lower side of the front bumper cover (A).
  10. Remove the front bumper cover (C) by pushing it rearward to release the locking pins (B) located upper side of the front bumper cover.

  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
    • Replace any damaged clips.
