Repair Procedures: Replacement: Removal

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Use seat covers to avoid damaging any surfaces.
  1. Remove the following items.
    1. Front pillar trim

      Refer to Front Pillar Trim Replacement .

    2. ECM mirror

      Refer to MIRROR .

    3. Rain sensor

      Refer to RAIN SENSOR

    4. Windshield wiper arm

      Refer to COWL TOP COVER .

    5. Cowl top cover

      Refer to COWL TOP COVER .

    6. Windshield glass deicer connector

    Refer to WINDSHIELD DEICER .

  2. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the windshield side molding (A).

  3. Cut out the windshield sealant using the sealant cutting tool (09861-31100).

    NOTE:
    • Do not scrape down to the painted surface of the body; damaged paint will interfere with proper bonding.
    • Remove the rubber dam and fasteners from the body.
    • Mask off surrounding surfaces before painting.
  4. Remove the windshield glass (B) carefully using the glass holder (A).
