Component Inspection
- IG "OFF".
- IG "ON".
- Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
- Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
- Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode again.
- Are any DTCs present?
YES
- Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.NOTE: In a case of replacing HECU, operate following functions
- "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C1261 STEERING ANGLE SENSOR NOT CALIBRATED ) -ESC only
- "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C1285 SENSOR CLUSTER CHANGE DETECTION_UNCALIBRATED ) - ESC only
- "Variant Coding" for 2WD/4WD type setting (refer to C1702 VARIANT CODING ERROR )
- If NG, substitute with a known-good AHB ECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace AHB ECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.NOTE: In a case of replacing AHB, operate following functions
- "Brake Pedal Travel Sensor Calibration" for brake pedal travel sensor offset correction (refer to C1380 BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL SENSOR NOT CALIBRATED )
- "Pressure Sensor Calibration" for pressure sensor offset correction (refer to C1384 PRESSURE SENSOR NOT CALIBRATED )
NO
- Fault is intermittent caused by faulty AHB, faulty HECU or was repaired and AHB memory was not cleared. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
