Engine Coolant Temperature Sender

  1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminal 2 and ground.

  2. If the resistance value is not as shown in the table, replace the temperature sender.
    COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR TEMPERATURE AND RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    Temperature Resistance (Ω) Tolerance
    120 18.5 -3° +3°
    123 16.5 -3° +3°
    1. Temp high/Low indicator's on & off condition

      When IGN(+) ON, temp high on for 3 seconds when temp high/low is on/off according to engine coolant temperature sender.
