Component Inspection
- Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and Using a scantool, clear the DTC
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minutes.
- Disconnect WCS sensor connector.
- Substitute the WCS sensor or WCS Module and check for proper operation.
- Is DTC present?
YES
- Substitute a known-good SRSCM, and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure and go to "WCS Reset" procedure.
NO
- Substitute a known-good WCS Sensor or known-good seat assembly or WCS Module, and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace WCS Sensor or seat assembly and go to "WCS Reset" procedure.
- Substitute a known-good SRSCM, and check for proper operation.
- Ignition "OFF", connect scantool.
- Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF", select Weight Classification System and select "WCS Reset" mode.
- You will see comments and current weight measured.
- Make sure the measure weight is caused by occupant or tools or interference.
- And then press "ENTER"

Specification: Approx. - 4.0 kg ~ + 4.0 kg
- The 'WCS Reset' operation will take 3~10 second.
- Make sure that there should not be vibration or weight adding to the passenger front seat.

- If the 'WCS Reset' operation is finished successfully, you will see the following screen:

- Is the displayed parameter the same as shown in Fig 8?
YES
- WCS reset is performed correctly
Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- WCS reset isn't performed correctly.
Go to the appropriate troubleshooting procedure.
