System Inspection

1. Alternator circuit check
(1) Key "OFF".
(2) Disconnect alternator connector.
(3) Key "ON".
(4) Measure the voltage between terminal 1 of alternator harness connector and chassis ground.
(5) Measure the voltage between terminal 2 of alternator harness connector and chassis ground.
A. Specification : B+




(6) Is the measured voltage within specification?
YES
1) Go to "Component inspection" procedure.
NO
1) In case there is no voltage detected at terminal 1, check Open circuit, Battery and Fuse (MAIN 120A) between battery and alternator. And then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
2) In case there is no voltage detected at terminal 2, check Open circuit, MIL circuit and MIL resistor.
And then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
